Online Class Update...

DECEMBER 2017 "White with a Twist" Challenge...

Welcome to the December 2017
"White with a Twist" Challenge.........
The challenge is to create a layout using all the colours highlighted in the inspiration image, but remember to use White with all of these and to include Chippie as well :)

WHITE with Watermelon Red,  Minty/Lime Green with a touch of blue if you wish (the blue is NOT a must)

 AND
Create a layout inspired by ALL the colours in this photo and you MUST USE AT LEAST ONE PIECE OF CHIPBOARD (as Scrapping Outback is known for ALL its Chippie)
You must use White combined with the colours in the above photo. You can use printed paper as long as these colours are the main focus of the paper. There can be other colours on the paper, bit not too much so that it takes away from the colours in the inspiration photo.
You can use anything the create these colours like mists, inks and paints.
You can use a small amount of black/brown for a little stamping, inking, journaling or just small accent, however it is NOT to be the main focus of your layout UNLESS it is one of the main colours in the inspiration photo.
You can use as little or a lot of each colour, but EVERY colour or similar shade of colour MUST be used. You can use varied shades of the colours as in depends on the device you are viewing the image on as to what shades you see.

To help inspire you this month our design team girls have created some amazing samples to hopefully help to get those creative juices flowing :)

First up this month we have a layout created by Marie. She has used white cardstock and has added background texture with tissue paper. Marie has also used coloured inks to add dimension and colour to the white background. The added coloured flowers highlight the colour theme perfectly.

Products Used:

Up next, we have Karen's layout using white cardstock as her base then building up her colour palette using red and green chipboard accents as well as a little coloured muslin and washi tape.
Karens Tip: Washi tape is good for just using pieces along the edges of your cardstock.
 Products Used:
SO cardstock (white)
A2Z chipboard

Up Next we have a layout by Rachelle - she has used white cardstock with loads of multi media products including White crackle paste, mists and stamping. The added printed papers add to this months colour theme.

Lindy's Stamp gang Embossing Powders - Candy Cane gold and Black Forest Black
SFX chipboard - Christmas Fun
Kaiser papers - "Mint Twist" collection
Kaiser stamp - Tiny dots
The Crafters Workshop template - Crossed
White crackle paste
Rachelle's Tip - Tone the mist colours down by spraying with water and dabbing off the excess. Heat setting is a great way to stop the paper becoming too water logged.
Finally, we have another layout created by Marie (she has been very busy this month). Marie has created her own background using coloured texture paste and colour burst powders - very creative!

Products Used:
Scrapping Outback Cardstock (white)
The Crafter’s Workshop stencils #TCW710 Endless Swirls
Ken Oliver Crafts Color Burst powder
Lindy’s Stamp Gang embossing powder
WOW chipboard title (Moments like these)
Kaisercraft paper and stickers (Chase Rainbows)
Prima Marketing packaging
VersaMark Watermark Ink  (Dazzle champagne)
Versacolor Ink  (scarlet)
Couture Creations double sided tape
Other: Paper doilies, Dazzlers texture paste (Daz-Red), Christmas adhesive felt, Helmar Scrap Dots, Kaiser and MME rub-ons, Paua Shell Kiwi

We hope that we have inspired you to enter our challenge this month using this festive colour combo :)
Happy Scrapping from the Scrapping Outback Team!!
